The Jacket
The XTM Exposure is a fully insulated ski and snowboard jacket built for people who want a lot of jacket without paying a premium price. At $349.99, you're getting 20,000mm waterproofing and 20,000g/m² breathability from XTM's HydroVENT20+ membrane, fully taped seams, and REPREVE® recycled insulation — the kind of spec list you'd expect to pay considerably more for. It's a clean, no-frills piece of men's ski and snowboard outerwear that just works, whether you're skiing groomers all day or getting caught in heavy afternoon snow.
The shell is 100% recycled polyester twill with a stretch component, so it moves with you rather than fighting you on the chairlift or in the trees. The PFAS-free DWR finish means the waterproofing doesn't rely on chemistry that's increasingly regulated — and that's a real thing, not a marketing angle. XTM has also certified the Exposure as carbon neutral, backed by the REPREVE® traceable recycled polyester insulation in the fill.
What We Like
The insulation split is smart: 60 g/sqm through the body and 40 g/sqm through the sleeves. Your core stays warm while your arms stay mobile and don't overheat during high-output moments. Add underarm vent zips and you've got a jacket that actually breathes on a warm March day when you don't want to stop and layer down.
The removable powder skirt is a real one — not just a decorative snap. The hood is helmet-compatible and adjustable, the main zip is a waterproof two-way YKK®, and the internal pockets include a mesh zip pocket and a microfibre goggle wipe. There's also an internal media pocket and a zippered ski pass window on the sleeve. These are the details that matter on actual ski days.
Fit & Sizing
The Exposure runs true to size in a regular athletic fit — enough room to move freely on snow, not so boxy that it feels like a bag. It's available in Concrete and Mallard Green in sizes S through XXL. The recycled stretch shell helps across the range, so larger sizes don't sacrifice mobility. If you're between sizes and you like to layer a midlayer underneath, go up. If you ski in a base layer and maybe a light fleece, stay true.
Why Willi's
We've been fitting skiers and riders in the Pittsburgh area since 1970. Our staff skis and rides on the same gear we sell, so when we say this jacket punches above its price, we've worn it and we mean it. Come in to any of our three locations and try it on — we're here to make sure you walk out with the right fit, not just a sale.
