The Jacket

The XTM Drift is a fully insulated ski jacket with serious waterproofing numbers. It runs a 20,000mm waterproof / 20,000g/m² breathable membrane, which puts it well above the "good enough for most days" threshold. Add fully taped seams and a PFAS-free DWR finish and you're dry from both directions — rain and sweat. The stretch fabric moves with you, and reinforced ripstop panels across the body, hood, and sleeves handle the wear from chair arms, poles, and gear bags without wearing through. Insulation is 60g through the body and 40g in the sleeves. That's a warm-day-comfortable, cold-day-capable balance. Not a full expedition jacket, but it handles a wide range of conditions without cooking you when the sun comes out. The Mallard Camo colorway is a sharp, low-key pattern that doesn't look like every other jacket on the hill.

What We Like

A lot of jackets in this price range top out at 10K or 15K. Getting to 20,000mm waterproof without jumping to a shell price point is genuinely useful — it means you stay dry through sustained wet snow and long days on a wet chairlift. The stretch shell is the other thing. Stiff outerwear fights you on every traverse and every pole plant. This one moves.

Fit & Sizing

The Drift fits with a relaxed cut — room to move, room for a mid-layer underneath on cold days, without going boxy. If you're between sizes, size down for a cleaner fit over a base layer; size up if you plan to stack a heavier fleece or vest under it.
