The Jacket

The XTM Camille is a women's ski jacket that doesn't overreach. It's a 15K shell built to do its job every run: keep the snow out, let some heat escape, and stay light enough that you forget you're wearing it. Some jackets at this price load up on gimmicks. The Camille puts the weight on the fundamentals instead.

The shell is 100% recycled polyester taslon with a PFAS-free DWR finish, so you're dry from both directions and not contributing to chemistry nobody wants around mountain water. Fully taped seams mean no sneaky wet spots after a long chair ride in a wet snowfall. Insulation runs 80g/sqm through the body and 60g/sqm through the sleeves — warm enough for a cold January morning, but not so much that a sunny bluebird afternoon turns into a problem.

The fixed powder skirt and waterproof main zip close off the two most common entry points for snow. The adjustable, helmet-compatible hood pulls down or up depending on the weather, and the underarm vents with mesh guards give you a pressure valve when the grooming is fast and you're working hard. Pockets cover all the bases: hand warmers, a chest pocket, a zippered ski pass pocket, an internal mesh goggle pocket, and an internal Velcro pocket for anything you want to keep separate. It's a clean, sensible layout that gets out of the way.

XTM backs this jacket with a lifetime warranty and it carries their Certified Carbon Neutral certification, built from a recycled polyester construction throughout.

What We Like

The 15,000mm waterproofing with 15,000g/m² breathability is a solid pairing. A lot of entry-level jackets hit 10K on waterproofing and stop there. The Camille breathes at the same level it blocks, which matters on days when you're hiking a traverse or working a steeper pitch. If your last jacket fogged up your base layer by noon, this is where the difference shows up.

The PFAS-free DWR is worth noting. The industry is moving away from fluorinated waterproofing chemistry, and XTM is already there. The trade-off with PFAS-free DWR is that it can need refreshing more often — a quick look at how to care for DWR fabrics will help you keep it performing the way it should. A low heat tumble dry after washing usually does the job.

The Camille is a better fit for recreational skiers and solid intermediates than for someone who spends half the day off-piste in heavy wet snow. The 80g body insulation is real warmth, but it's not built for lift-to-lift skiing in serious cold without a midlayer underneath. Know what you're buying and it won't disappoint.

Fit & Sizing

The Camille fits a standard women's relaxed cut — room for a midlayer, not so much fabric that it catches the wind. Go up a size if you run between sizes or plan to wear a thicker fleece underneath.

We carry S through XL in Indigo. An S fits a chest around 33–35", M around 36–38", L around 39–41", and XL around 42–44". If you're right on a border and tend to layer up, take the larger size. Stop into any of our three locations and we'll put it on you before you commit.
