The Pants

The Volcom Pollock Baggy is a mid-rise women's snow pant built for riders who want room to move and don't want to think about the weather. Volcom uses a 15K/15K V-Science 2-layer recycled stretch oxford here, so the fabric sheds wet snow and blocks wind but still gives when you crouch into a turn or squat down to adjust your boots. Every seam is taped, and the DWR coating is PFAS-free - Volcom moved off the harsher chemicals without dropping the water repellency.

What We Like

The Zip Tech connection locks the pant to a matching Volcom jacket, so snow stays out even after a hard fall in deep stuff. Mesh-lined zippered vents run down the thighs and open up fast when you're hiking for a jump or the afternoon sun starts working on you. Storage is handled right - hand pockets, back pockets, and cargo pockets mean you've got somewhere for a phone, wax, or snacks without digging through a jacket. The triple-reinforced rise holds up to lift chairs, park rails, and sitting in the snow to adjust your bindings, which is usually the first spot to wear through on a pant this loose.

Fit & Sizing

The Pollock sits at the mid-rise, not low and not high-waisted, and the leg is cut loose the whole way down - it's meant to sit over a boot with room to spare, not taper in. Runs true to size for most builds. If you're between sizes and plan to layer heavy base layers or ride mostly deep powder days, go up. If you want it closer to the body or you're on the smaller end of a size range, size down.

Why Willis

We've been fitting Pittsburgh skiers and riders since 1970, and outerwear fit is one of those things that's easier in person - baggy cuts especially, since "baggy" means something different on every body. Stop into any of our three locations and our staff will help you find the right size before you buy, not after the first cold lift ride tells you it's wrong.
