The Binding

The Tyrolia SLR 11 GW is a new alpine binding built around a wider base plate and a redesigned toe piece. It's made for skiers who want the energy from their turn to go into the ski - not lost somewhere in the mounting hardware. The VX BTR toe uses BTR kinematics to keep the boot locked down through chop and hardpack, while the NX heel handles release cleanly without adding extra bulk underfoot.

What Sets It Apart

The SLR PRO base spreads contact over more surface area than a standard plate. That gets more energy moving from boot to ski without stiffening up the ski's natural flex pattern - you still get the flex the ski was built with, just with less of that energy getting soaked up along the way. Through the turn, force transmission stays even instead of surging or going dead in spots, and that's the difference between a binding that feels solid and one that just says so on the box. This suits an intermediate to advanced skier who's pushing groomers hard or mixing in some crud and wants the ski to respond the same way turn after turn.

Compatibility

The SLR 11 GW is fully GripWalk compatible and runs with adult Alpine and GripWalk sole ski boots. We've got it here with an 85mm brake. Bring your skis in and we'll match the brake and mount to your exact setup - we're not going to guess at fit on something that has to hold you in through a fall line.
