The Swix Ski Vise
The Swix T149-50 is a three-piece World Cup ski vise built for alpine and carving ski tuning. It's Swix's best-selling vise, and after handling one you'll understand why — the 50mm center jaw wraps the sidewall with a grip that holds without slipping while you're filing or waxing. Browse our full Swix wax and tuning lineup to pair it with the rest of your bench setup.
What Sets It Apart
Most home-tuning setups use a narrower jaw that rocks when you lean into a side-edge pass. The 50mm jaw on this vise solves that. It opens from 40mm to 100mm, so it handles everything from a narrow carver to a mid-fat all-mountain ski. The angle drops from 90 to 60 degrees for side-edge work — 60 degrees pulls the ski face toward you, which means better sight lines and more control on your file stroke. The adjustable tip and tail supports lock the ski steady at each end. One honest limitation: skis wider than 100mm at the waist need a wider-jaw vise. If you're tuning big-waisted park or powder skis, ask us about other options when you stop in.
