The Glove

Kids are hard on gloves. They drag them through the snow, stuff them in pockets, lose one on the chair, and somehow end up with soaking-wet hands by noon. The Spyder Overweb is built for exactly that kind of day. Check out the full range in our kids gloves and mittens collection if you want to compare, but this one earns its spot at the top of the pile.

The shell is a stretch recycled polyester plain weave with a 10K/10K EXO SHIELD laminate and a DWR finish. That's a solid waterproofing number for a youth glove — wet snow, cold rain, dragging hands along a groomer — it sheds all of it. Underneath sits a separate EXO SHIELD waterproof/breathable insert, so you've got two layers of moisture protection before you even get to the insulation. The Sorona® fill (100g) keeps hands warm without packing on bulk, and the whole thing is made without PFAS chemicals.

The fit is pre-curved and articulated, which means fingers aren't fighting a flat glove all day. A single-handed drawcord cinches the over-the-cuff gauntlet without your kid needing to take the other glove off. Wrist strap and a removable leash are both here too, so "I lost my glove on the lift" becomes less of a thing.

A few details worth calling out: the palm has a grip treatment for poles, the thumb has a PU flock nose wipe (kids will use it — a lot), and there's a YKK-zipped pocket on the back of the hand for a hand warmer. The conductive fingertip material means phone use without bare skin in the cold.

Why Willi's

We've been fitting kids for ski gear since 1970, and we know gloves matter as much as anything else on the mountain. Our staff can help you find the right size and check the fit in person at any of our three Pittsburgh-area stores. Bring the kid in and we'll get it right the first time.
