The Piece

The Spyder Surface Junior 1/2 Zip is a fitted 100% polyester jersey knit pullover with UPF 50+ sun protection built right into the fabric. It's a girls' mid-layer that pulls double duty — under a jacket on cold days, or worn on its own when the temperature climbs. The YKK® reverse coil center front zipper lets kids dial the ventilation up or down without fussing with layers. Electric Coral and Leopard are both sharp this season. No PFAS chemicals in any component.

What We Like

It's a piece that actually gets worn. The fitted cut stays put under a kids' ski jacket without bunching, and the custom Spyder graphics make it something girls want to put on rather than something you hand them. The UPF 50+ rating is a genuine bonus on bright spring days when the jacket comes off. Center back length on a size M is 20.5", so it covers the waistband the way it should.
