The Pants

The Spyder Propulsion is the junior insulated pant we see most kids skiing in, and there's a reason for that. It's a 10K/10K shell built from stretch recycled polyester, so kids can actually move in it, and 60g of Sorona® insulation keeps them warm through a full day without adding bulk. Critically seam-taped construction means the wet stays out even when they're sitting in the snow or sliding through slush. The inner snow gaiters seal against their boot tops, and a reinforced scuff cuff around the hem takes the abuse that kids' pants always take.

The "Small to Tall" hem is a real money-saver: release the stitch and you get an extra 2 inches of length, so a pant that fits well in XS this season can often make it through next season too. Removable suspenders and an internal adjustable waist mean you can dial the fit as kids grow. For resort skiing through grade school and middle school, they're exactly right.

What we Like

The "Small to Tall" hem is the detail that earns its place. Kids grow fast, and most pants are done after one season. Getting that extra 2 inches buys real time.
