The Pants

The Spyder kids' line has a lot of solid pieces, and the Olympia Junior Pants are the one that keeps coming back — because they work. It's a 10K waterproof shell with 60g of Sorona® insulation, so kids stay genuinely dry and warm through a full day of skiing or riding, not just the first hour. The face fabric is 100% recycled stretch polyester with Spyder's EXO SHIELD laminate, and the seams are critically taped. Snow gaiters with gripper elastic lock out the gap between boot and pant. Reinforced scuff cuffs handle the drag across ski edges and boot buckles that kills cheaper pants fast.

The feature parents notice most is the Small to Tall hem. Release a hidden stitch and you get two extra inches of length — that's often one full size of growing room built right in. Pair that with the internal adjustable waist and belt loops, and these pants fit the same kid across multiple seasons.

What We Like

The Small to Tall hem is the reason we push these over cheaper options every time. Kids grow. A pant that grows with them is a real value, not just a marketing line. We also like that Spyder kept the components PFAS-free without trimming the waterproofing numbers — 10K still holds up in the cold and dry conditions most kids are skiing in all winter.
