Spyder Kicker Junior Pants 2027

The Pants

The Spyder Kids Kicker Junior Pants are a go-to pick for boys who put in full days on the mountain. At $160, they sit at a comfortable middle ground — more coverage and construction than entry-level pants, without going overboard for a kid who'll outgrow them.

Fit runs standard for Spyder juniors: regular through the waist and hip, with room to layer underneath on colder days. They're not a super-slim race cut, so there's space for a base layer or light mid-layer without binding. Kids who run warm won't miss the extra bulk. Kids who run cold can add a layer and still move freely.

What we Like

The Kicker is built for the kid who wants to ski, not just stand around looking warm. Spyder's junior insulated pants are made to handle a full day out — wet snow, wind, lunch on a cold bench — without the kid asking to go inside. The kids' pants category has a lot of options, but Spyder's fit and finish at this level tends to hold up season after season, which matters when you're buying for an active skier. One honest limitation: like any insulated pant at this weight, it's a three-season ski pant, not an expedition layer — a bitterly cold day might call for an extra base layer below.
