The Goggle

The Shred Codify is a frameless, oversized cylindrical goggle built around one idea: one lens that handles everything. Flat light, bluebird, mixed-up days where the weather can't make up its mind — the Codify's Contrast Boosting Lens™ 2.0 ICE is the answer. No swapping lenses in a cold parking lot. No carrying a second lens in your pocket all day. You put it on, it works.

It fits best on medium to large helmets, the strap is 74% recycled PET with a silicone lining that grips helmet fabric without slipping, and at 140 g (4.9 oz) it disappears on your face. The triple-layer PU foam with fleece facing seals out cold without pressing on your cheekbones. If you wear prescription glasses, the Codify is OTG-compatible — it fits most frames, though very thick or wide frames may not clear.

What Sets It Apart

Shred's NODISTORTION™ is a patented semi-permeable valve that equalizes pressure between the double-lens chamber and the outside air as altitude and conditions change. Without it, temperature swings cause the outer lens to bow or warp, pulling your vision out of true. With it, the lens stays flat and you see what's actually in front of you — not a curved version of it.

SHRED.wide™ is the frame geometry. By pushing the lens out further and tightening the frame profile, Shred gets more peripheral coverage than a conventional framed goggle. You notice it most when you're scanning across a wide trail or checking over your shoulder for traffic. And the cylindrical lens shape keeps the optics honest: a single curve, no compound distortion at the edges.

Lens Tech

The Contrast Boosting Lens™ 2.0 (CBL 2.0) ICE isn't just a tinted lens. Shred builds in polarizing technology alongside their proprietary contrast formulation so your eye picks up terrain texture and shadow definition that a standard lens misses. The "ICE" version is tuned for all-condition use. Shred themselves will tell you to ignore VLT% here — machine-measured VLT doesn't capture what polarization and contrast boosting do to perceived brightness and terrain reading.
