The Boot
The Salomon S/Pro Supra S BOA 110 is a 110-flex all-mountain boot built around a 100mm last. It runs two screwed aluminum buckles on the upper shell and one BOA dial on the lower shell— so you get the precision lock-down of traditional buckles where it matters for power, and the quick micro-adjustability of BOA where fit comfort shifts most through the day. That combination is not common at this price, and it works.
Who It's For
This boot suits a strong advanced skier or an expert who wants a little more comfort without giving up real response. The 100mm last puts it right in the middle of the medium-volume range — not narrow-racing-last tight, not the roomier all-day fit of a 102mm or 104. If your foot runs true medium through the forefoot and midfoot, it drops in clean. Skiers with a genuinely wide forefoot or a high instep will want to talk to us before committing, and skiers who want the stiffest possible feel should look at the 120 version of this boot. But for the skier putting in aggressive all-mountain days who still wants to walk to the lodge without limping, this is the one.
Flex & Fit
Flex 110 is firmly in the strong intermediate to advanced range. It's responsive enough to drive a ski hard, but it won't punish you on a long groomer the way a 120 or 130 will. The ExoWrap construction is worth understanding: instead of buckles pressing down on the top of the foot, ExoWrap and the BOA system wrap the foot from the sides, pulling the heel back and holding it there. The result is a tighter heel pocket with less pressure on the instep. For skiers who have historically had hot spots across the top of the foot in traditional four-buckle boots, that's a real difference. The Power Spine at the rear of the cuff adds progressive rebound out of the turn without making the boot feel stiff when you're just skiing easy terrain.
The S/Pro CF Advanced liner is pre-shaped and packs cushioned foams with external Talyn fabric and an elastic toe box. It fits well out of the box and responds to heat molding if you need more. Our boot fitters at any of our three locations can heat-mold the liner and, if needed, the shell itself through the Custom Shell HD process — that's a 10-minute shell punch that can take care of pressure points without voiding anything.
Tech that Matters
- ExoWrap construction — shell and liner built as a system around the BOA dial; wraps the foot rather than pushing down on it, improving heel hold and reducing instep pressure
- 2 screwed aluminum buckles — lower shell closure; screwable design means a bootfitter can pull them off and replace them easily
- Power Spine — metal plate linking cuff and shell; adds rear support and progressive forward flex
- Custom Shell HD — heat-moldable shell, punched in 10 minutes by a bootfitter; thin-wall construction keeps the foot closer to the shell
- S/Pro CF Advanced liner — pre-shaped with cushioned foams, Talyn fabric on the exterior, elastic toe box
- sensiFIT insert — soft PU insert on the outer shell wall for easier step-in and anatomical instep wrap
- GripWalk sole (ISO 23223) — rockered sole for more natural walking stride; check with us that your bindings are GripWalk-compatible before mounting
- Full-service construction — buckles, toothplate, strap, and cuff pivot are all screwable for easy bootfitter access
Why Willi's
We've been fitting boots in Pittsburgh for over 50 years, and the Supra S BOA is one of the boots we recommend when a customer comes in saying they've never found a boot that holds their heel. Stop in at any of our three locations and we'll put you in the boot, assess the fit, and heat-mold the liner on the spot. If you need custom footbeds or a shell punch, we do that too.
