The Pants

The Strawpile is Rossignol's answer to cold lift lines and long ski days where the weather won't make up its mind. It's built with a 2-layer waterproof, breathable membrane rated at 20K - that's serious storm protection, not a light-mist number. Synthetic insulation runs low-bulk through the whole pant, so you get warmth without the bulky look or feel. Every seam is critically taped, which means water isn't sneaking in through the stitching on a wet, heavy-snow day. Reinforced cuffs take the abuse from boot buckles and edges without fraying apart by February.

This isn't a shell you layer heavy under. The insulation's doing real work here, so on warmer days you can run a lighter base layer and stay comfortable instead of overheating on the way up and freezing on the way down.

Fit & Sizing

These run true to a standard women's ski pant fit - not slim-cut, not baggy, just built to move. If you size between two, we'd lean down for a trimmer fit under a mid-weight base layer, or up if you want room for heavier layers on the coldest days.
