The Jacket
This is the puffy we point women toward when they tell us they run cold on the lift and don't want to layer up. The Staci is Rossignol's insulated jacket, cut with a feminine shape instead of a boxy unisex fit, and it's built to hold heat.
Tech That Matters
Waterproofing: 20K - rated extremely waterproof, so wet snow and slush sitting on the shoulders won't soak through on a long day outside.
Breathability: Highly breathable - the recycled 2-layer face fabric moves moisture out instead of trapping it against your base layer.
PrimaLoft insulation - synthetic fill that keeps its warmth even if it gets damp, which matters on a jacket you're not babying.
DWR finish, PFC-free - the durable water repellent coating beads water off the surface without the older chemistry a lot of shoppers are trying to avoid.
Powder skirt and adjustable hem/cuffs - these seal out the spindrift when you're sitting in fresh snow or the wind picks up on an open run.
Helmet-compatible hood - detaches when you don't need it, stays put over a helmet when you do.
Fit & Sizing
The Staci runs true to a fitted, feminine cut rather than a loose shell fit - it sits close through the waist and gives room through the shoulders for a mid-layer underneath. If you like to layer a fleece or light puffy under it on the coldest days, size up. If you mostly wear one base layer and want the shape to actually show, true to size is the move.
Why Willis
We've been fitting Pittsburgh skiers since 1970, and outerwear is one of those things a photo online just can't tell you the whole story on. Stop into any of our three locations and one of our staff will get you into the right size before you buy it, not after.
