The Snowboard

The Slapstick is Rome's answer for a kid who's outgrown the rental-line special but isn't ready for a full-blown adult deck. It's a true twin shape, so switch riding comes easy, and it rides the same nose-first or tail-first. That matters once a young rider starts messing around in the park or riding fakie just to see if they can.

What Sets It Apart

Most boards this small skip the tech and just shrink an adult template down. Not this one. Twin Diamond 3D construction keeps the edges from hooking up unexpectedly on firm snow, and Bamboo HotRods add snap for loading ollies and making quick line corrections. The Contact Rocker/Camber profile blends rocker at the contact points with camber underfoot, so it's forgiving but still has some pop to push against. Soft-to-medium flex gives growing riders something to work with instead of overpowering them.

Sizing

The 135 fits smaller, lighter riders just moving past beginner gear. The 138 splits the difference for a kid gaining confidence on groomers and mellow park features. The 144 suits the bigger or more aggressive young rider ready to push speed and take laps through the park.
