The Snowboard

The Artifact is Rome's park and rail board for riders who'd rather butter a box than bomb a groomer. It's a true twin from nose to tail, with Stay Positive Camber underfoot - traditional camber that pops when you load it and stays snappy off jumps and jibs. Bamboo hot rods run through the core, giving the board a skate-like spring for ollies without turning the flex stiff or unforgiving.

This isn't a board that wants to go fast and hold an edge down a steep pitch. It wants to spin off side hits, press the length of a rail, and lock into a front board without fighting you.

Who It's For

The Artifact is built for park riders and jibbers - the crowd that measures a good day by how many features they hit, not how many vertical feet they covered. A 4-5/10 flex is soft and playful, which means it's forgiving on rails and butters easy, but it's not going to feel locked-in at speed or on firm, wide-open terrain. Twin double kick tips mean the nose and tail kick up evenly, so switch riding and nose presses feel just as natural as riding it forward. If you're an advanced rider who lives in the park, or an intermediate rider working on presses and small jumps, this board meets you where you are. Riders who want an aggressive all-mountain charger should look elsewhere - the Artifact just isn't built for that job.

Tech That Matters

Stay Positive Camber keeps the board predictable underfoot - it loads up like a normal cambered board so ollies feel effortless, but the soft flex keeps it forgiving when you land a little off. The bamboo hot rods in the core are the reason for that spring - bamboo's naturally lively, so the board rebounds fast without needing a stiff overall flex to do it. The PowerSlide base is a standard extruded-style base built for the wax-and-go crowd - low maintenance, easy to repair if you catch a rock feature the wrong way, though it won't run quite as fast as a sintered base on long park runs between features.

Sizing

Board length in this family runs from 150 cm up to 157 cm. Smaller riders and those who want the board to feel extra flickable in the air should size down within their range. Taller or heavier riders, or anyone who wants a bit more stability landing bigger jumps, should size up. Most rider should be happy just above their chin.

Why Willis
