The Jacket

The Quiksilver Sycamore Block 20K Snow Jacket is a fully insulated snow jacket built to handle real storm days. The shell is 100% recycled polyester — made from textile waste and plastic bottles — and it carries a genuine 20K DryFlight® waterproof rating. That's a 20,000mm hydrostatic head. Wet snow, all-day chair rides, driving sleet — this jacket sheds it.

Inside, WarmFlight® x2 Eco insulation runs 60g through the body and steps down to 40g in the sleeves and hood. That's a smart distribution: the core stays warm, the arms stay mobile. The insulation itself comes from recycled PET bottles, and the shell is made from repurposed production scraps and textile waste. If sustainability matters to you, the material story here is real, not just a hang tag.

It's a modern fit — a traditional snow jacket but with enough room to layer a mid under it on cold days. The YKK AquaGuard front zip keeps moisture out at the zipper teeth. LYCRA wrist gaiters with thumbholes block spindrift at the cuffs. Sleeve vents let you dump heat on the way back up. Hem adjusters are tucked into the lower pockets so you can cinch the hem without digging for a cord.

Pocket count is strong: chest patch pocket, two lower waterproof hand pockets, a top-loading zip pocket at the lower front, a sleeve pass pocket, and interior goggle slip pockets on both sides. You won't be hunting for your phone or your lift ticket mid-run.

What We Like

A lot of mid-price insulated jackets sit at 10K — workable on light days, dicey in a real storm. The Sycamore Block bumps that to 20K without jumping into a much higher price bracket. We also like the pocket layout. Two goggle pockets (one each side) is something you don't usually see at this price, and it matters when you're swapping lenses.

The one trade-off worth knowing: the modern fit runs trim through the torso. If you're between sizes or you run wide in the shoulders, size up. This jacket isn't cut for heavy layering underneath — a thin fleece or a light mid works, but a big puffy will fight it.

Fit & Sizing

The Sycamore Block runs in a modern regular fit — contemporary cut, slim through the chest and waist, full range of motion in the arms thanks to ergonomic sleeve construction. We carry it in S, M, L, and XL in both Blue Coral and Grape Leaf. If you're layering more than a light mid underneath, go up a size. The stretch cuffs and adjustable hem help dial the fit once you're in it.
