The Jacket

The Picture Organic Felnor is a straight-up shell — no insulation, no fluff, just a clean 20K waterproof membrane over a face fabric knit from 100% Circular recycled polyester. It's built for skiers and riders who want to control their own warmth by layering underneath, and who'd rather have a jacket that handles a proper all-day storm than one stuffed with synthetic fill that gets clammy by noon.

The Dryplay 20K/20K membrane is waterproof and breathable. Fully taped seams mean water's not sneaking through the stitching. The PFC-free Teflon EcoElite DWR treatment sits on top so the face fabric doesn't soak through and kill your breathability on a wet day. A fixed elastic powder skirt keeps snow out when you're charging through a fresh dump, and wrist gaiters with thumbholes seal the gap between glove and sleeve.

The hood adjusts at three points, which matters. A hood that won't lock down over a helmet is a hood you'll never use. This one's got enough geometry to work over a helmet and cinch tight in a headwind. Pit zips let you dump heat on the uphill or after hard groomers without unzipping the whole front. There's a zipped chest pocket, two zipped hand pockets, a ski pass pocket on the left sleeve, a zipped internal pocket, and a second open internal pocket. Plenty of room to carry what you need without loading a pack.

What We Like

The Circular polyester story is real. Picture grinds up old garments to spin this fabric — it's not just recycled bottles from a bin. The 20K rating puts it well above what most resort days will throw at you, and the Teflon EcoElite DWR is PFC-free, so no sketchy chemistry leaching into the snowpack either. We like that this jacket doesn't overcomplicate itself. Men's ski and snowboard jackets at this price often come loaded with features you won't use. The Felnor keeps it tight: everything here earns its place. The Vintage Indigo color is clean, reads more navy-slate than bright blue — easy to layer with, doesn't look wrecked after a muddy spring day.

Fit & Sizing

The Felnor runs a regular fit, which in Picture's sizing means room for a midlayer without feeling boxy when you're just wearing a base. It's not a trim race cut and it's not a relaxed powder silhouette — it sits right in the middle. If you're between sizes and plan to layer a heavyweight fleece underneath, go up. If you're in a warmer climate or mostly wearing a lightweight grid fleece, stay true to size.
