The Pants

The Picture Organic Avening Bib Pants are Picture's go-to freeride bib — a 2-layer stretch build with a 20K/20K DryPlay membrane and Coremax lining that covers you on cold, wet days without making you feel like you're skiing in a sleeping bag. It's a 20K waterproof, 20K breathable shell with Coremax lining underneath — enough warmth for a cold lift-served day, light enough that you won't be sweating through your base layer on the climb back up. Fully taped seams mean no moisture sneaking through stitching anywhere.

Picture makes the outer fabric from 100% Circular Polyester — recycled from production waste and used clothing, with no performance trade-off. They've also treated it with Teflon EcoElite™ DWR, which is PFC-free and holds up well through washes. The I-fit system lets you roll and lock the cuffs up higher when you need them out of the way — a small feature, but genuinely useful when you're stepping into bindings or transitioning on a tour. Waterproof pit zips handle the venting when the sun breaks or the skin track gets steep.

These aren't a heavily insulated bib. Skiers who run cold might want to add a mid-layer below on the coldest days. But for an intermediate-to-advanced skier who moves around and doesn't love overheating, the Coremax lining hits a smart middle ground.

What we like

The adjustable elastic suspenders are genuinely easy to dial — you can adjust them with gloves on, which matters more than it sounds at the top of a cold chair. Lycra stretch panels build in the mobility that makes bibs feel like bibs instead of garbage bags. And the I-fit hem system is one of those things you don't know you need until you've had a traditional cuff drag on a boot buckle. We also appreciate that Picture didn't cut corners on hardware — YKK® reversed zips under flaps on the front opening and hand pockets keep moisture out.

Fit & Sizing

Regular fit with a mid-rise bib. These run true to size for most guys — if you're between sizes and prefer a bit of room to layer, take the larger. The Lycra stretch panels give you real mobility even in a closer fit, so don't size up just for movement. Available in M, L, and XL in Dress Blues.
