The Boot

The Cruise 120 is built for the moment you're ready to hold nothing back. It takes Nordica's high-volume, comfort-first Cruise platform and dials up the flex, so you get real power and precision without sacrificing the roomy, forgiving fit that makes the Cruise line so easy to live in. A wide, streamlined anatomical shape delivers tremendous control and response, while a dual soft-flap instep lets the throat of the boot open up wide, making it surprisingly easy to step in and out of for a boot this stiff. Add in Primaloft® insulation for genuine on-hill warmth, and this is a boot designed to boost your confidence and elevate your game, run after run.

Who It's For

This boot fits an advanced-to-expert skier with a wider foot - think higher instep, more volume through the ball of the foot, maybe a calf shape that's fought you in narrower boots for years. A 120 flex demands some skill to bend properly. It rewards someone who skis aggressively, spends most of the day on blacks and blues, and wants a boot that flexes forward with authority rather than folding at the first hint of pressure.

Flex & Fit

The Cruise 120 carries a 120 flex rating, putting it solidly in advanced-to-expert territory — stiff enough for serious power transmission and quick response at speed, and strong enough for all but the heaviest, most aggressive skiers on the mountain. Fit-wise, it shares the Cruise family's 104mm last, making it one of the roomiest boots available at this flex rating, built for wide, high-volume feet and out-of-the-box comfort. It's snug enough through the heel, ankle, and sides of the foot to keep you locked in while skiing, but with generous length and instep room so it never feels like it's crushing your toes — a heat-moldable liner and adjustable shell let you dial that fit in even further once it's broken in.

Tech That Matters

Instep Volume Control (I.V.C.) system lets you raise or lower the boot board by up to 4mm, which matters because instep height is one of the most common complaints in stiff, high-performance boots, and most 120-flex boots give you no way to adjust it. The Adjustable Cuff Profile, a double-screw system on the back of the cuff, lets you open up extra volume for an athletic or fuller calf — critical in a boot this stiff, since a tight cuff at 120 flex translates directly into pressure points and cold feet on a long ski day. Finally, Primaloft® insulation in the liner matters simply because a stiffer, wider shell can run colder than a snug performance boot, so the added insulation keeps warmth from being the trade-off for volume.
The soles are GripWalk - noticeably better traction walking across a parking lot or through a lodge than a standard alpine sole. None of that changes how the boot skis, but it changes how much you enjoy the rest of the day around the skiing.

Why Willis

We've been fitting Pittsburgh skiers into boots since 1970, and wide-footed, stiff-flex combinations like this one are exactly where a proper fitting earns its keep. Stop into any of our three locations and we'll get you into a shell that actually matches your foot, not just your ability level on paper.
