The Ski

The Honey Badger has been a park-rat favorite for years, and the 2027 version keeps doing what it does best - taking a beating on rails and jumps without falling apart or costing a fortune. This is a twin-tip built around an aspen core, so it's light in the air but still snappy enough to hold up on landings. At $449.95, it's priced to actually get thrown around a jib line instead of babied.

Who It's For

This ski is built for beginner to advanced park riders - guys who are comfortable on rails, boxes, jumps, and general all-mountain jibbing and want a ski that can take repeated hits without wrecking their bank account. If you're brand new to skiing and haven't spent much time on features yet, you'll grow into this one. But once you're linking turns confidently and want to start throwing tricks off natural terrain or into the park, the Honey Badger gives you a forgiving, playful platform to build on.

Tech That Matters

The Aspen Veneer Core keeps the ski light while still giving it a lively, reactive feel underfoot - you notice it most when you're popping off a small jump or trying to get some air on a natural hit. Running down the center is a Carbon Ollieband, pre-stretched carbon that adds pop and makes pressing and buttering feel more natural instead of forced.

For durability, 4D Fibercap Construction wraps the core in woven fiberglass running four different directions, which toughens up the ski against rail impacts without piling on weight. Line also beefed up the Fatty Base and Edge - a 1.7mm sintered base paired with 2.5mm x 2.2mm edges - so sliding down handrails or scraping across concrete doesn't chew through the ski in one season.

Last thing worth mentioning: the Symmetric Flex pattern means the flex in front of your boot mirrors the flex behind it. Ride switch and the ski responds the same way it does riding forward - no weird surprises landing switch off a jump.

The shape runs 120-92-116 with a 92mm waist, wide enough to feel stable through choppy landing zones but not so wide it feels sluggish spinning off a lip. The 3-4-3 profile - rocker in the tip, camber underfoot, rocker in the tail - gives you enough camber to pop off a jump and enough tip/tail rocker to butter and slide without catching an edge.

Sizing

The Honey Badger comes in 155, 166, 172, and 177cm. Most skier will be happy here with something around their nose in height. Someone riding aggressively, spinning bigger, or looking for more stability at speed should size up. If you're more about buttering, spins on smaller features, or you're newer to park riding, sizing down keeps things playful and easier to maneuver. Come try a pair on and we'll help dial in the right length based on how you actually ride, not just a chart.

Why Willis

We've been fitting skiers and boarders around Pittsburgh since 1970, and we know park skis take a different kind of abuse than a normal all-mountain setup. Bring these in to any of our three locations and our techs will mount them right and make sure your boots match up before you're sliding anything. Check out the full lineup of mens skis if you're still comparing options.
