The Snowboard

The Glider does what its name says. It's an easy-riding, freestyle-leaning board built to feel good under a wide range of riders instead of demanding a specific one. Lib Tech built this off their original Banana rocker/camber contour, and it shows up the second you point it downhill - loose and playful underfoot, but with real edge grip when you tip it on its side. This isn't a board that punishes mistakes. It's one that lets you make them and keep riding.

Who It's For

The Glider fits first-timers working on linked turns and full-time riders who just want a board that doesn't fight them. It's not built for riders chasing a stiff, locked-in race feel or hard chargers who want a board that punishes anything less than a committed edge - the flex here is soft and forgiving, and that's the whole point. New, mildly wider waist widths on this model mean bigger-footed riders finally get a board in this shape without dragging toes or heels off the edge. If you're the kind of rider who wants to carve a groomer in the morning and mess around with buttering and small jumps in the afternoon, this is your board.

Tech That Matters

The Original Banana rocker/camber contour puts rocker between the feet and camber underfoot and near the tip and tail. On snow that means float and a loose, catch-free feel where you need it, and pop, stability, and edge control where you need that instead. Magne-Traction adds seven serrated bumps along each edge - Lib Tech calls it their steak-knife edge - and it grabs and holds even when the snow gets firm and scraped-off by afternoon. Underneath, the base is a fast, low-maintenance sublimated build. The core mixes aspen and paulownia wood with a tri-axial glass layup running magnesium techno fiber bands and carbon, which keeps the board light without turning it noodly.

Why Willis

We've been fitting Pittsburgh-area riders since 1970, and we don't just sell boards - we mount, tune, and service them too. Stop into any of our three locations, including our shop right at Seven Springs, and we'll help you land on the right length for how you actually ride, not just how tall you are.
