The Snowboard

The Cold Brew is LIB Tech's directional freeride board built for riders who want a nose that floats through soft snow without feeling like a plank everywhere else. The tail got reshaped for this version, and the nose carries enough length and taper to keep your front leg from burning out in chop and pow. Underneath it's got Magne-Traction, LIB Tech's serrated edge, cut into the board at seven points along the contact edge. Think steak knife instead of butter knife - way more bite on firm snow.

Who It's For

This board is aimed at intermediate to advanced riders who spend most of their day pointed downhill and want a directional shape that can still ollie off a side hit or slash a lip when the mood strikes. The near mid-wide waist gives bigger boots room to breathe without turning the board into a plank, so if you've been dealing with toe or heel drag on a narrower deck, this solves that. Riders who live in the park and ride switch all day should look at a true twin instead - the directional nose and tail here aren't built for that.

Tech That Matters

Magne-Traction puts seven serrations into the edge, and they do real work when the snow firms up - better hold on hardpack, less chatter, and carves that don't wash out mid-turn.

Extended Aspen/Paulownia Core - the core runs 60% aspen and 40% paulownia, extended for a core that's lighter and holds up over seasons of riding without going dead. It's also FSC certified, so the wood's sourced responsibly.

Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax Glass blends two fiberglass layups for a flex that's lively without being unpredictable underfoot.

Eco Sublimated Base and Top - the base is LIB Tech's TNT sublimated base, which is fast out of the gate and doesn't demand constant waxing to stay that way. The top sheet uses the same eco sublimation process.

Why Willis

We've been fitting Pittsburgh riders since 1970, and we still set up every board that leaves our shop by hand. Stop into our South Hills, North Hills, or Seven Springs location and we'll walk you through stance, width, and whether the Cold Brew is the right board for how you ride - not just what's in stock.
