The Product

The KariTraa Anna High Waist Pant is a full-length merino base layer bottom built for real cold. It's 100% merino wool at 19.5 microns and 220gsm, which puts it firmly in midweight territory. Warm enough for a cold chairlift ride, light enough to layer under your ski pants without bulk. Merino keeps insulating even when it gets damp — sweat, snow, whatever — and it doesn't hold odor the way synthetics do, so you can wear it more than once before it needs a wash.

The high ribbed waistband with an interior elastic band stays put when you're moving, no folding down or bunching under your shell. A crotch gusset gives you room to move without pulling. Flatlock seams sit flat against skin, so there's nothing to dig in under a fitted ski pant. The Nordic knit pattern is sharp, too — KariTraa does print work that actually looks intentional, not like an afterthought. A base layer you could wear off the mountain and not be embarrassed about.

Wool this fine takes a little more care than a polyester layer. Hand wash or a gentle machine cycle, and skip the dryer.
