The Ski
This is K2's all-mountain package built around an 85mm waist, which puts it right in the sweet spot for someone who spends most of the day on groomers and wants a little room to wander onto softer snow off to the side of the trail. Check out the rest of our mens skis if you're still comparing options.
Who It's For
This ski is for beginner-to-intermediate skiers who are ready to stretch beyond marked, groomed runs into bumps, variable snow, and light off-piste terrain, without needing the demanding stiffness of a true expert ski. It's a smart pick for progressing skiers who want one ski that keeps up as their skills improve, rather than a ski that feels maxed out the moment they start pushing harder.
One honest limitation: this isn't a ski for advanced or expert skiers looking to push speed on steep terrain or drive a stiff, aggressive edge - the softer flex and rocker profile that make it easy for a developing skier will feel vague and underbuilt once you're skiing fast and hard. It's also not a powder ski. It'll handle a few inches of soft snow off to the side of a run just fine, but it's not built for deep days.
Tech That Matters
The tech that matters here starts with the Aspen wood core, a lightweight, resilient material that keeps the ski nimble and easy to handle while still delivering the strength needed for a lively, responsive feel underfoot. That core is paired with K2's SlantWall construction — a 30-degree angled sidewall.
An All-Terrain Rocker profile, blending a gradual tip rise with traditional camber underfoot, is what makes the ski so approachable: the rocker eases turn initiation and helps the ski float over softer or choppier snow, while the camber underfoot still delivers real edge hold and stability when you're on groomers. K2 also infuses the construction with eco-friendly Bio-Resin, which helps the ski maintain a consistent, predictable flex across a wide range of temperatures — so it performs the same whether it's a bitter cold morning or a warm spring afternoon. The package comes with Marker's M3 11 QuikClik bindings, featuring full GripWalk compatibility for quick, dependable setup.
Sizing
Available in 156, 163, 170, and 177cm. For a beginner just building confidence, look at a length that comes up around chin height standing next to the ski - the 156 or 163 will feel manageable and easy to pivot. An intermediate skier working on carrying more speed and starting to carve should look at a length closer to nose height, putting the 163 or 170 in play. If you're on the more aggressive end of intermediate and want a little more stability at speed, size up to the 170 or 177. Bring your boots in and we'll help you land on the right length and get the M3 11 dialed to fit.
