The Jacket

The Avanti is Helly Hansen's dressed-up answer to a real winter jacket. It's got a trim, fitted cut, but underneath that clean silhouette is a jacket built to work hard on cold lift rides and long ski days. The fabric is a soft, 4-way stretch waterproof material, so it moves with you through turns instead of fighting you.

What We Like

We like that this jacket doesn't make you choose between looking good and staying warm. The shape holds up walking into the lodge for lunch or grabbing a drink after the last chair, and it still handles a full day outside in the cold. The adjustable powderskirt is a nice touch too - cinch it down on deep, blustery days, loosen it up or leave it off when the sun's out and you don't need the extra seal.

The Avanti runs true to size for most women, with a fitted through the body cut rather than a boxy or oversized one. If you like room to layer a heavier fleece underneath, size up. If you run warm or mostly layer light, true to size will feel right. We carry it in S, M, and L.
