The Alphelia is Helly Hansen's shaped, feminine-cut parka built for skiers who put in real days on the hill and don't want to bundle up like it's an expedition to do it. It's a 2-layer, fully seam-sealed shell with PrimaLoft Black insulation underneath.

What We Like

We like that this jacket doesn't force a choice between warm and mobile. The 4-way stretch fabric and articulated sleeves mean you can reach up for a pole plant or shoulder-check for traffic on a run without the jacket fighting you. The soft baffle construction on the interior adds warmth where you want it, and when you're working harder than the weather calls for, the mesh ventilation and underarm zips dump heat fast. Small stuff matters too - the ski-pass pocket, the goggle pocket, and a stash pocket mean you're not digging through your pants for your pass at the lift.

PrimaLoft Black insulation gives lightweight warmth without bulk - it's a 100g fill, which is enough for an active day of skiing but not a jacket meant to stand still in a lift line at single-digit temps for long stretches. An adjustable, stretch powder skirt keeps snow out on a fall or a deep-snow day, and it's detachable if you want less bulk on warmer days. Wrist gaiters with thumbholes seal the cuff against your glove.
