The Pants

Helly Hansen built the Alpha Insulated Pant for guys who spend the whole day outside and want one pair of pants to handle it. HELLY TECH® Professional membrane keeps snow and slush out while letting sweat escape, so you're not peeling off layers in the lodge every hour. Underneath, 40 grams of PrimaLoft® Black Eco insulation adds real warmth without turning your legs into a marshmallow suit - good for cold chairlift rides and the slow parts of the day when you're standing around more than moving.
At 40g, this insulation runs on the lighter side. Guys who run cold or spend most days out in wind-blown, deep-freeze conditions might want a heavier midlayer underneath, or a warmer pant altogether.

What We Like

Snow gaiters at the ankle cinch down and keep powder out on deep days. The adjustable waist lets you dial in the fit without a belt digging in under a jacket. Pockets close up secure, so your phone and pass stay put through a fall instead of ending up buried in the snow. The cut itself is clean and classic. Not slim. Not baggy. Just a normal-looking pant that also happens to work hard on the hill.

Fit & Sizing

This pant runs true to size for a guy who wants a regular, athletic fit through the leg and seat. If you layer a heavier base layer underneath or just like a little extra room to move, size up one. Bring your usual ski pant size or come try a pair on at any of our three locations and we'll get the fit dialed in before you buy.

Why Willis

We've been fitting Pittsburgh skiers and riders since 1970. Stop in at Seven Springs or one of our other two locations and we'll help you sort sizing and layering before the snow starts flying.
