The Binding

The Atomic Stage 10 GW is a no-frills alpine binding built for skiers who want their gear to just work. It's part of Atomic's Stage line, which sits in the entry-to-intermediate range of their binding lineup. This isn't a race-day piece of equipment and it doesn't try to be. It's the binding you put under a ski when you want something dependable that won't fuss with you on a cold morning.

The "GW" in the name means it's built to work with GripWalk sole boots - the rockered, walkable sole shape that's become standard on a lot of newer boot models. If your boots have that sole, this binding is made to pair with them.

What Sets It Apart

There's nothing flashy going on here, and that's kind of the point. The Stage 10 GW is a simple, well-built step-in binding aimed at recreational skiers - people skiing groomed runs, working on their turns, maybe venturing into easier off-piste on a soft snow day. It's not going to satisfy a skier who wants a high-DIN setup for charging steep terrain or hucking off stuff in the trees. But for the skier population it's actually built for, it holds up fine and doesn't ask for much maintenance.

One honest note - because this sits in the lower-to-mid DIN range typical of the Stage series, aggressive or heavier skiers who ski fast and hard should look at something with more retention range. We'll help steer you there if that's you.

Compatibility

This is where we'd normally rattle off brake widths and DIN numbers, but we're not going to guess at specs we don't have in front of us. Bring your skis and your boots into any of our three locations and we'll match the binding to your boot sole and get the brake width right for your ski's waist. If you've got GripWalk sole boots, you're already most of the way there - we just need to see the actual gear to finish the job.
