The Boot

The Hawx Magna 75 W has one job — get more women on the mountain comfortably. Not a boot for charging groomers at 60 mph. Not a boot for the person who already owns four pairs of race stock shells. This is the boot you hand to someone who quit skiing years ago because their feet hurt, or the woman who's been renting and finally decided to commit. Soft flex, wide fit, real warmth. It just works.

Who It's For

This boot is the entry point for women into Atomic's wide-fit Hawx Magna series, aimed at beginner to casual intermediate skiers who spend most of their time on groomers and blue runs. It's especially suited to women with wide or high-volume feet who need real room, not just a slightly looser standard boot, along with anyone whose calves need extra space that a narrower cuff doesn't provide. It's not built for skiers chasing aggressive performance — it's designed specifically for comfort, ease of use, and confidence while building foundational skills.

This isn't for you if you're an advanced skier pushing hard on groomed blues and blacks. At that point, you'd want to look at something with a stiffer flex in our ski boots lineup. But if you're still building your skiing legs, the Magna 75 W is exactly right.

Flex & Fit

The Magna 75 W carries a 75 flex, making it the softest, most forgiving boot in the women's wide-fit Magna lineup — ideal for beginners who need a boot that flexes easily and doesn't demand strength or technique they haven't built yet. On fit, it's built on the wide, high-volume 102mm last specifically designed for women's foot shapes, with plenty of room for all but the very widest feet, plus a wide tongue and fluted calf area for additional comfort. Combined with the adjustable cuff spoiler, the fit can flex further to accommodate a range of calf sizes, making it a genuinely accessible starting point rather than a compromise.

Mondo sizing runs 23.5 through 27.5, covering roughly US Women's 6.5 up to 10.5. One thing we tell customers: ski boot sizing runs small compared to your street shoes. Don't be surprised if you end up in a size you didn't expect — that's normal, and our boot fitters will get you sorted.

Tech That Matters

The core of the boot is its high-volume 102mm last, which Atomic describes as the "ultimate answer for a wider fit" — this is what actually solves the comfort problem for wide-footed skiers, giving real extra space at the forefoot and instep rather than a boot that's merely a size looser. That's paired with the Adaptive Fit System cuff, which includes a removable spoiler in the back of the cuff — leave it in for a classic, snug calf fit, or take it out (no tools required) to open up roughly a full cuff size of additional volume, which matters a lot for skiers whose calf shape doesn't match a standard cuff. Even at this beginner-friendly flex, the boot still uses Prolite construction, the same lightweight shell technology found in Atomic's higher-performance Ultra and Prime lines — it keeps the boot from feeling heavy and cumbersome while still reinforcing the specific zones needed for control. The Select Bronze liner rounds it out, offering genuine day-long comfort without requiring extensive heat-molding or break-in to feel good.
