The Suspenders

Suspenders are one of those things that sound optional right up until your pants are halfway down your shins on a chairlift. The Armada Stage Suspenders fix that problem cleanly, and they do it in nine colorways so you don't have to look like you raided a hardware store to do it.

These are a one-size item. They're built from a 70% polyester, 30% elastane construction - stretchy enough to move with you, firm enough to actually hold your pants where you left them. Adjustment points sit both front and back, so you can dial the length from both ends instead of fighting a single slider all day. The Y-back design keeps the straps from sliding off your shoulders when you're twisting through tight trees or landing flat. Sublimated Armada logo graphics run the length of the straps.

Who It's For

Anyone wearing a ski pant with suspender loops who's tired of a belt digging in under a jacket. That's most of the market. Park skiers running their pants low will appreciate the extra-long length and the front/back adjustment combo. Bigger frames that have struggled to find suspenders with enough length will find these work where others have come up short. One reviewer on Armada's own site noted that at the smallest setting these fit someone around 5'5"–5'6", so very tall or long-torso skiers will want to confirm the sizing works before they're out on snow.

Tech That Matters

The construction is simple and that's on purpose. Polyester elastic keeps its stretch over a full season without going limp. The low-profile metal sliders sit flat and don't bulk up under your jacket or dig in when you're bent over clicking into bindings. Sublimated graphics are printed into the material, not screen-printed on top, so the logo detail holds up through repeated days of use without cracking.

Front and back adjustment points are the real functional win here. Most cheap suspenders only adjust at the front, which means if you're long through the torso you just run out of strap. The dual-point system gives you a real range of fit.

Sizing

These are one-size. If you're between the smallest and a pretty generous large frame, they'll cover you. Very tall skiers or anyone unusually long in the torso should measure from shoulder to waist against a tape before ordering, or bring your ski pants into any of our three locations and we can do a quick check right in the store.

Why Willi's

We've been fitting skiers since 1970, and the gear that holds your kit together matters as much as the kit itself. Stop in at any of our three locations and we'll make sure everything - suspenders, pant, base layer - works as a system. We're happy to help.
