The Ski

The 2027 Armada ARW 88 is a comp-ready, all-mountain freestyle twin built for women who want park-inspired pop without sacrificing versatility across the whole resort. Built on a snappy poplar chassis with W3DGEWALL sidewall construction, it delivers the kind of lively, springy energy that rewards active, aggressive skiing — pop off a side hit, butter the nose, stomp the landing, and keep moving. If you're looking for one ski that handles a full day on the mountain without making you choose between groomers and off-piste, this is a strong place to land. Browse our full womens ski packages if you want poles, bindings, and boots sorted at the same time.

Who It's For

This ski is aimed at advanced intermediate through advanced women skiers who want a true all-mountain twin with a frontside lean. It's an especially strong match for park-to-pow skiers, weekend rippers, and anyone who loves the playful, freestyle feel but doesn't want to give up real all-mountain capability. It leans toward frontside performance rather than deep soft-snow exploration, so those chasing more powder-specific float should look toward the wider models.

Tech That Matters

At the heart of the ARW 88 is a full poplar wood core, which gives the ski its signature lively, springy pop and predictable, smooth feel across snow conditions. Ash binding inserts add targeted stiffness right at the mount zone, which matters when you're stomping landings or driving the ski hard through a turn. The ski's W3DGEWALL sidewall is a 3D-molded, injected construction that bonds directly to the core — it's tougher and more consistent than a traditional glued sidewall, while also helping keep overall weight down. A Freestyle Rocker profile (slight tip and tail rocker paired with solid camber underfoot) keeps the ski forgiving and versatile in soft snow and chop while still delivering strong edge hold when you tip it over on firmer terrain. Rounding out the build, an Impact Edge resists damage from rails and ice, while the S7 sintered base provides reliable glide and easy upkeep — all wrapped in a package light enough to ski hard, all day, without feeling beat up.

Sizing

In 156 and 161 cm, the ARW 88 covers a solid range for intermediate to advanced women. We guide skiers to choose length based on their own height - advanced skiers usually go to nose-to-brow height, intermediate skiers a little shorter. And if you're unsure, bring your boots into any of our three locations and we'll get you sorted in person.

Why Willi's

We've been fitting women for skis since 1970, and we know the difference between a ski sold because it looks good on a rack and a ski that's actually right for how someone skis. Our staff at all three locations - South Hills, North Hills, and our shop at Seven Springs - ski on this stuff. That means real answers, not guesswork. Stop in or call us and we'll dial in the right length, the right binding, and the right boot to go with it.
