The Snowboard
The Sin Nombre. No name. No gimmick. Just a board that wants to ride. Arbor kept it straightforward here — a directional all-mountain shape with enough edge hold to survive a crusty Saturday morning at Seven Springs and enough pop to keep things fun when the groomers open up early. We've had a lot of boards come through our shop over the years, and this one has a way of disappearing under your feet in the best possible sense. You stop thinking about it and just ride.
Who It's For
This is a board for the rider who's moved past the beginner phase and wants something that rewards commitment. If you're the kind of person who laps the whole mountain — some trees, some groomers, maybe a park hit or two on the way down — the Sin Nombre fits that day perfectly. It's a legitimate step up from entry-level boards without crossing into the stiff, demanding territory of a dedicated freeride board.
That said — this isn't for you if you're still working on linking turns consistently, or if you spend 90% of your time in the park. There are better options for both of those riders. And if you're a switch-heavy freestyle guy, the directional shape will fight you more than you'd like.
Tech That Matters
Arbor builds this one around their System Rocker profile — a subtle camber underfoot with rocker in the tip and tail. It gives you the snap and edge grip you want on hardpack without the unforgiving catch-and-release you get from full camber on icy mid-Atlantic snow. The Grip Tech edge geometry adds more contact points at the tip and tail, and honestly, that's the feature that matters most around here.
The core is Arbor'sHighland II Core (10/20 Poplar and Paulownia blend for reduced weight and high snap). The base is sintered, so it holds wax well and stays fast throughout the season with regular care.
Sizing
The Sin Nombre runs in 153, 156, 158, and 161 — a tight range that covers most adult male riders. We size these slightly shorter than old-school charts suggest. Modern rocker profiles ride bigger than their length. If you're on the fence between two sizes, think about your riding style: heavier chargers who like speed should go up, lighter or more technical riders should stay down.
Why Willi's
We've been fitting riders for Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, and beyond since 1970 — that's over 50 years of knowing what actually works on local snow conditions. Buy your Arbor here and we'll tune it before it ever hits the hill. Questions? Our shop staff rides this stuff every weekend and will give you a straight answer.
