The Piece

The 686 Sherpa Womens Hoody is a straight-up comfort piece built from thick sherpa fleece, the kind you want on when the morning's still cold and you're not ready to be a functional human yet. It's 100% polyester, sherpa on the inside and out, with a hood and drawcord so you can cinch out drafts when the wind picks up. This isn't a technical mid-layer with seam-taping and vents - it's a warm, simple hoody that either stands on its own around town or slides under a shell when temps drop.

What We Like

Elastic cuffs keep the sleeves from riding up, and the adjustable elastic bottom hem lets you snug it down so it doesn't balloon out under a jacket. There's also UPF 40+ built into the fabric, so it's doing some sun work even though nobody buys a fleece for sun protection - it's just a nice bonus on bright spring days.

Fit & Sizing

This runs true as a relaxed, everyday fit - not slim, not oversized, just easy to move in whether you're layering it under a jacket or wearing it as your top layer around the house or the base lodge. If you plan to wear it under a shell on colder days, size to your normal size and check that your outerwear has room to spare, since sherpa fleece has some bulk to it. If you're between sizes and want it strictly as a standalone piece, sizing down gives a snugger, less bulky look.
