Who It's For

Intermediate to advanced women who are done outgrowing boards every season. If you're lapping the resort on the weekends, hunting side hits off the trees at Hidden Valley, and occasionally catching a bigger trip out west - this is the board for it. It floats better than you'd expect for a shorter length, handles variable Pennsylvania hardpack without getting squirrelly, and has enough pop to make a small kicker genuinely fun.

Riders who want a dedicated park board or something strictly for racing will want to look elsewhere. The Swoon Decon is built for the skier-mountain-does-everything crowd.

Tech That Matters

The System Rocker profile - rocker in the tip and tail with camber underfoot - gives you the best of both worlds. Edge hold when you're carving an icy morning groomers run, and forgiveness when you're buttering into a turn. Ice is no joke, and the Grip Tech contact points extend the effective edge just enough to bite without making the board feel locked in.

The poplar wood core keeps weight down and snap up. And Arbor uses recycled steel edges as part of their sustainability push - the board rides just as well, and it's genuinely a cleaner process than the industry standard. The setback stance and directional shape mean it surfs through softer snow naturally, without you having to think about it.

Sizing

The Swoon Decon comes in 140, 144, and 148. Go with the 140 if you're on the lighter end or prefer a more playful, surfy feel underfoot. The 144 is the sweet spot for most riders - enough surface area for float, short enough to stay maneuverable. The 148 adds stability at speed and works better for heavier riders or anyone who wants a little more board under them on steeper runs. If you're between sizes, think about where you ride most - tight trees and park, go shorter. Open groomers and occasional powder, go longer.
