Arbor Mantra Snowboard 2026

The Snowboard

The Mantra is Arbor's women's all-mountain twin — and it's a board we genuinely like putting in people's hands. It's not a beginner board dressed up in marketing language. It rides with real intention. Grab one of our snowboards and you'll see pretty quickly that Arbor builds things differently than most of the industry — recycled wood cores, bio-based topsheets, construction that actually holds up over a Pittsburgh winter's worth of ice scrapes and Seven Springs laps.

The Mantra sits in that sweet spot where a rider who's gotten past the "just trying to survive" stage can actually start having fun. It rewards you for improving without punishing you mid-run when things get a little sketchy.

Who It's For

This board suits intermediate to advancing riders who want one board that handles groomed cruising, a side-hit here and there, and the occasional venture into softer snow off the sides of Springfield or the Rachel's Run trees. It's a true twin, so switch feels natural — great if you're working on park skills but not ready to commit to a dedicated freestyle setup.

Riders who are still mostly beginner-level will find it a touch demanding. The Mantra is happiest under someone putting 20-plus days a season on it.

Tech That Matters

Arbor runs what they call System Camber here — a parabolic camber profile that gives you real edge grip on hardpack without the stiff, punishing feel of old-school full camber. On Pennsylvania ice (and Seven Springs has plenty of it), that edge hold matters. You'll feel it most on toe-side carves where softer boards tend to wash out.

Grip Tech puts subtle bumps near the contact points to increase edge hold right where the board enters a turn — it's a legitimate difference on firm snow, not just a spec sheet feature.

3D Fender raises the nose and tail slightly off the snow in a natural flex curve, reducing edge catch on flat light days when the terrain fools you. And the wood core — sustainably sourced, as Arbor does across their line — gives the flex a lively, snappy feel rather than the dead rebound you get from lower-end builds.

The twin shape means the board is centered, so your stance options are wide open depending on your style.

Sizing

The Mantra comes in 144, 148, and 152. Most women in the 5'3"–5'6" range land on the 148. Lighter riders or anyone who prefers a more playful, easy-to-swing feel should pull down a size. Go up to the 152 if you're on the taller end, ride fast, or want a bit more float in softer conditions. Come in and we'll figure it out with you — sizing a board five minutes in the shop saves a season of riding the wrong setup.

Why Willi's

We've been fitting Pittsburgh riders into snowboards since 1970, and our staff actually rides — Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, and plenty of trips beyond. We'll mount your bindings, dial your stance, and make sure you leave with a complete setup that works. That's just how we do it.
