The Pants
The Kleveland is Marcus Kleveland's own pant, built to his spec for a guy who spends more time upside down than right-side up. Volcom put a 15K waterproof, 15K breathable V-Science 2-layer shell under a relaxed, baggy cut, then taped every seam so slush and snow stay outside where they belong. This isn't a slim-cut resort pant dressed up for the park - it's a park pant, full stop, with room to move and the coverage to back it up.
What We Like
The mid-rise waist sits comfortably without digging in when you're squatting into a butter or reaching for a grab, and the baggy fit gives you the look riders want. Mesh-lined inner leg zips and front leg vents let you dump heat on a warm spring lap day or a hike-heavy session.
Volcom built in a triple-reinforced rise and kick panels at the cuffs - the spots that take the most abuse from edge contact, rail slides, and just sitting on chairlifts all day. Stretch boot gaiters and an inner boot gusset zipper keep snow out at the ankle, and lace hooks hold the gaiters where you put them instead of letting them ride up mid-run. Zip Tech lets the pant connect straight to a compatible Volcom jacket, so you get one sealed system instead of a gap at the waist collecting powder every time you take a spill.
Fit & Sizing
This pant is built for snowboarders who ride park, hit rails, or spend the day in the pow and want a pant that keeps up with a more physical, freestyle riding style. The mid-rise waist and roomy cut mean layering underneath is easy without feeling bulky. Because the fit is generous, riders between sizes should think about how much they plan to layer - go with your regular size for a true baggy look, or size down if you want it closer to a standard relaxed fit.
We carry this pant in S, M, L, and XL. Bring your usual base and mid-layer setup in when you try it on so we can check how it sits with your boots and jacket.
Why Willis
We've been fitting Pittsburgh riders for snow since 1970, and pants like this one live and die on the details - taped seams, boot gaiters, and a jacket connection that actually works. Stop into any of our three locations and we'll walk you through the fit in person, layering and all.
