The Jacket
The Buckthreeeighty is Volcom's storm coat for guys who want room to move and gear built to handle a full day in bad weather. Cut baggy and relaxed through the body, it's made for layering up on cold mornings while still letting you swing your arms freely. Volcom calls it "athletic and universal," and honestly, this is the vibe - not a tailored fit, just an easy, comfortable shell you can throw over a hoodie and forget about.
What We Like
The hidden toggle hood cinches down tight without any cords flapping around on a chairlift. The Super Suede chin guard keeps the zipper from chewing up your neck on cold, windy laps. And the handwarmer pockets are lined in brushed tricot, so your hands thaw out instead of just hiding from the wind.
Tech That Matters
- Waterproof/breathable rating: 10,000mm / 10,000gm²
- Shell: V-Science Recycled Plain Weave with PFAS-free DWR
- Lining: V-Science Breathable Lining System
- Seams: Critical taped seams
- Zip Tech® jacket-to-pant interface
- Adjustable powder skirt
- Adjustable cinch cuffs
- Pocket access hem cinch
- Whistle zipper pull
- Shell fabric: 100% recycled polyester
Fit & Sizing
This jacket runs true to its name - baggy. It sits loose through the chest, shoulders, and hips, made to layer over a midweight fleece or puffy without feeling tight anywhere. Sizes run XS through XXL. If you're between sizes and want a fitted look, go down a size. If you're stacking layers for the coldest days or want extra room to move, stick with your usual size or go up one.
Why Willis
We've been fitting Pittsburgh skiers and riders since 1970, and we know a shell built to hold up, not just one that looks good on a hanger. Stop by South Hills, North Hills, or our shop at Seven Springs and we'll help you dial in size and layering before the season gets rolling.
