This is that ski. It's got an 85mm waist — widest in the Q line — and it's built to go fast, hold an edge on Pennsylvania ice, and still behave when the afternoon chop rolls in at Seven Springs.

Who It's For

Advanced to expert skiers. The kind of person who's already comfortable linking high-speed GS arcs and wants more response, not more forgiveness. If you're an intermediate skier still working on your turns, we'd steer you toward something lower in the Redster lineup — the Q9.8 rewards commitment and punishes hesitation. But if you charge down Gunner's Run or spend your weekends hunting the last groomed pitch before it glazes over, this ski was made for you. It's also worth saying: that 85mm waist gives it just enough float to handle the occasional off-piste detour without falling apart. Don't buy it as a powder ski, but don't count it out when things get weird.

Tech That Matters

Revoshock S — a damping layer built into the tip and tail that absorbs vibration before it reaches your boots. On hard snow, the difference is real. You stay locked in instead of getting bounced around at speed.

TI Powered Titanal — a full sheet of Titanal runs through the ski's construction, adding torsional stiffness and edge-to-edge power. This is what gives the Q9.8 that locked-in, nothing-moves feeling mid-carve.

Sizing

Three lengths: 166, 173, and 181cm. The 166 suits lighter or shorter advanced skiers who want quick edge-to-edge. The 173 is the sweet spot for most — good mix of stability and maneuverability for everyday skiing on-piste. The 181 is for bigger, more aggressive skiers who want max stability at speed and aren't giving anything up for convenience. When in doubt, come in and we'll sort it out on the spot.
