The Boot

The K2 Anthem BOA 85 W is built for women who are still building their legs under them on the mountain and want a boot that meets them there instead of fighting them. An 85 flex means it flexes forward easily without a ton of muscle behind it, and the lower-shell BOA dial replaces the usual bottom buckles with a twist-to-tighten fit that's simple to dial in and just as simple to loosen at the end of the day.

Who It's For

This boot is for intermediate skiers building confidence and all-mountain range, as well as advanced skiers who want all-day comfort without sacrificing edge control. It's a great fit for women who want a boot that feels secure and confident from the very first chair rather than something they have to break in, and it's especially appealing to skiers who've had frustrating experiences with traditional buckle boots creating pressure points on the top of the foot. If you're an expert skier who wants a boot that pushes back and holds an edge through fast, aggressive turns, this isn't it - the 85 flex is too soft to keep up. But for progression, all-day comfort, and a boot that doesn't punish your shins on a long day of skiing.

Flex & Fit

The Anthem 85 BOA carries an 85 flex rating — a friendly, moderate flex that gives progressing and intermediate-to-advanced skiers enough backbone for confident all-mountain skiing without feeling harsh or demanding. It's supportive enough to drive through real turns but forgiving enough that you're not fighting the boot while you build technique.

Fit-wise, this is a women's-specific MultiFit last spanning roughly 97–100mm, developed specifically around the BOA system to comfortably fit a wide range of foot shapes and volumes within a single shell — no separate low- or medium-volume options needed. Combined with the fully heat-moldable shell and liner, it's built to feel precise on edge while still being genuinely comfortable and easy to adjust throughout the day.

Tech That Matters

The tech that matters here starts with the BOA Fit System on the lower shell, which trades a couple of hard, discrete buckle clicks for a continuous, evenly wrapped closure you can micro-adjust with a simple twist — meaning fewer hot spots, a more secure wrap around the forefoot, and the ability to loosen or tighten the fit in seconds, even on the lift. That's paired with the PowerLite shell, built from four different stiffnesses of TPU with optimized wall thickness, which is why this boot manages to be genuinely lightweight while still skiing with the power and drive of a heavier boot. Inside, the PowerFuse SpYne — a rear, co-injected "Y" shaped design — reinforces the Energy Interlock between cuff and shell to maximize fore/aft flex efficiency and lateral stiffness, which is what keeps the boot feeling responsive and stable rather than vague, especially in rougher terrain. The LuxFit liner, made from pre-molded, heat-moldable Ultralon foam, includes an asymmetric tongue and a flex notch that improves range of motion when walking or hiking, and the whole boot — shell and liner both — is fully heat-moldable so we can dial in a truly custom fit over time.

Why Willis

We've been fitting Pittsburgh skiers into boots since 1970, and boot fit is where we spend the most time with a customer - not just handing you a box in your size. Come into our South Hills, North Hills, or Seven Springs shop and we'll heat-mold that liner, check your stance, and make sure the shell length and width actually match your foot before you buy. Fifty-plus years in, that fitting process is still the whole job.
