The Goggle

The Shred Gratify is a frameless cylindrical goggle built around one lens: the Contrast Boosting Lens™ 2.0 Ice Mirror. VLT sits at 21% — that's a mid-range S2 tint, which means it handles everything from overcast flat days to full sun without a swap. One lens for the whole season, carried in and out in one goggle. 

The frame is TPU with a true frameless look, 170mm wide and 100mm tall. It fits best on medium to large helmets — small helmets and very large XL lids may feel a little off, but the S-to-L range covers most heads. It's also OTG-compatible, so if you wear glasses on the hill, you can keep them on.

What Sets It Apart

The honest limitation: the Gratify ships with one fixed lens. If you want a nighttime or extreme-glare option, you're buying a spare lens separately. For skiers who rotate between three different tints depending on the forecast, that's a real trade-off. For everyone else who just wants one goggle that handles most days, it works.

What you get is a goggle that sits at 140g on the scale — light enough that you stop noticing it after the first run. The strap is 50mm wide, made from 74% recycled PET with a triple silicone line backing, so it stays put on a helmet shell all day. NOCLOG™ is a hydrophobic treatment on the vents that cuts snow and water clogging, which matters on heavy dump days. And a pressure-equalizing valve inside the double-lens chamber keeps the lens from warping as you move up and down in elevation. That's NODISTORTION™ — it's a patented semi-permeable valve, not a marketing label.

Lens Tech

CBL 2.0 Ice Mirror is Shred's all-condition lens, developed with MIT. It carries a polarizing filter and uses spectral tuning to boost contrast in flat light conditions — overcast, shadowed trees, the kind of light where the terrain just goes flat. The VLT of 21% lands in a range that's genuinely comfortable in bright sun, and the polarizing filter handles glare without darkening the view more than it needs to. SHRED.wide™ refers to the frame geometry: the cylindrical lens shape and wide 170mm opening are built to push your peripheral vision out as far as the frame allows.

The lens itself is polycarbonate/acetate, ultra-precision molded with tapered thickness from center to edge. That taper keeps vision sharp at the outer edges of the lens — where cylindrical goggles can go soft if the molding isn't right. 100% UVA/UVB/UVC protection, super anti-fog inner coating, hard-coat outer.
