The Jacket

The Icepeak Fayette is a fully insulated women's ski jacket that punches well above its price. It's got a 15,000mm waterproof rating, 10,000 g/m²/24h breathability, and fully taped seams — that's a spec sheet you'd expect on a jacket costing significantly more. The 4-way stretch 2-layer shell moves with you rather than against you, and the PFC-free DWR finish means you're keeping fluorine out of the watershed without giving up water protection.

What Sets It Apart

The detachable faux-fur hood is the first thing customers notice, and it's genuinely sharp — but the features underneath it are what make this jacket a shop favorite. Articulated elbows, a fixed snow gaiter with a silicone grip band, and elastic inner cuffs with thumbholes all work together to keep the cold out at every gap. A chin guard on the front zip stops face chafe on windy days. You get two front pockets, two chest pockets, a large internal mesh pocket, an internal zip pocket, and a sleeve ski pass pocket — storage isn't a problem here. The comfortable inner collar has a coating that keeps it from scratching even after a long day out.

Worth noting: this is an insulated jacket, not a shell, so layering options underneath are more limited on warm spring days. It's built for cold-weather skiing, and that's where it shines.

Fit
