The Piece
The Goldbergh YUYAKE is a down-insulated one-piece ski suit with faux fur trim, made for women who want real warmth and a suit that looks the part at every hour of the day. Night Runner is a deep, graphic colorway — bold enough to stand out without chasing trends that date fast. This is a head-to-toe piece, so you're not layering a jacket over pants and hoping the two play nicely. One zip, done.
Goldbergh builds their suits around a softshell outer shell, a stretch lining with anti-odor finish, and RDS certified down — meaning the fill comes from farms that meet animal welfare standards and the feathers aren't wasted. The faux fur trim on the hood is the finishing detail that puts this suit firmly in the luxury tier. It frames the face cleanly and adds weight to the silhouette without making the suit feel costume-y.
What We Like
One-pieces solve a real problem: they don't gap at the waist when you fall, pole plant deep, or hike a pitch. Snow stays out. That matters more than people think until they've ridden a two-piece in bad conditions and spent ten minutes digging powder out of their base layer.
The RDS certified down does the insulating work quietly — you stay warm without the suit adding bulk in places you don't want it. Goldbergh cuts their suits slim through the torso with enough stretch in the lining to move freely on the hill. The elastic belt keeps the waist defined so the silhouette reads as intentional, not shapeless. And the women's ski suit collection at Willi's carries Goldbergh alongside a few other luxury labels, so if you want to compare in person before you commit, that's exactly what we're set up for.
One honest note: this is an insulated suit, not a shell. On a bluebird day that runs warmer than expected, you may find yourself unzipping vents if the suit has them, or carrying the warmth longer than you'd like. If you ski primarily in spring conditions or heated resort days, a lighter option might serve you better. For cold mornings, variable days, and anyone who runs cold, the YUYAKE is the right call.
Fit & Sizing
Goldbergh suits run in European sizing — sizes 6 through 14 correspond roughly to US XS through L. The fit is slim through the body with stretch lining to accommodate movement, so sizing up for layering room isn't usually necessary. A thin merino base layer fits easily underneath without distorting the silhouette. If you're between sizes, the slim cut means you'll generally want to go up rather than down.
Try it on if you can. A one-piece needs to fit through the shoulders, through the torso, and have enough length in the rise that you're comfortable in a skier's stance. If you're not near one of our three locations, reach out and we'll talk you through fit over the phone.
