The Jacket

The Goldbergh Harumi is a quilted goose-down ski jacket built for women who want real mountain performance and still want to look sharp doing it. It's a long-season piece — warm enough for genuinely cold days, with a clean, fitted silhouette that works just as well at lunch as it does on the chairlift.

The outer shell is 100% recycled polyester rated to 15,000 mm waterproof and 20,000 g/m² breathable. That's a solid all-day rating — it handles steady snow and wind without issue. For high-output skinning or a serious mogul run in a warm March rain, you'll feel the limits, but for the vast majority of resort days it's plenty. The RDS-certified 90/10 goose down fill keeps the warmth-to-weight ratio tight, so the jacket doesn't bulk up on you the way a synthetic fill can.

The fixed hood is tailored to wear under a helmet without bunching, and the detachable faux fur trim gives you a little of that classic alpine look. Pull it off for a cleaner profile — both versions work. Inside the cuffs, there's a knitted layer that seals against your gloves so cold air doesn't sneak in at the wrist, and the two cuff zippers let you push them back over your gloves quickly. The detachable snow gaiter at the hem tucks away cleanly when you don't need it.

Five pockets total: two outer hand-warmers, two inner pockets, and a sleeve pocket for your lift ticket or pass. The partly recycled lining has an anti-odor finish, which matters more than it sounds after a long week of skiing.

What We Like

The quilted construction looks polished — it's a step above the typical technical-shell look without sacrificing any function. We also appreciate that Goldbergh used RDS-certified down here rather than a cheaper synthetic fill; at $999, that's the right call. The anti-odor lining is the kind of detail that doesn't show up in photos but you'll notice by day three of a trip. And the detachable faux fur trim is actually detachable in practice, not just on paper — a clean connection, easy on and off.

The honest limitation: 10K/10K is a capable but not top-tier waterproof rating. If you ski a lot of wet spring snow or genuinely stormy days, something in the 20K range would serve you better. The Harumi is at its best on cold, dry days when the insulation can do its job without the outer shell being pushed hard.

Fit & Sizing

The Harumi runs in a regular fit — not boxy, not race-tight. It's cut to layer over a midlayer without pulling across the shoulders. Goldbergh sizes in standard UK/EU women's sizing, and multiple retailers confirm it fits true to size. Bring your usual women's mid layer when you try it on at any of our three locations so you know exactly how much room you have.

We carry sizes 6 through 16 in black. Size 6 through 10 tend to move fastest, so if you're shopping later in the season, don't wait.
