The Ski
This is a wider frontside ski built for women who don't want to choose between clean carving and off-trail curiosity. The Dynastar M-Cross W 88 Open extends into all-mountain territory while keeping the crisp, locked-in edge feel of a dedicated groomer ski, so you can hold a tight carve one run and drop into softer snow the next.
Who It's For
This ski fits intermediate to advanced women skiers who spend most of their day on groomed runs - but don’t want to be held to that should things get choppy or a surprise storm rolls through. The 88mm waist means you're not fighting a wide platform to get on edge - it wants to tip and go. Skiers who like to lay the ski over and feel it grip will get along with this one fast. If you're still working on parallel turns and linking them confidently, look at something a little more forgiving underfoot.
Tech That Matters
At 88mm underfoot, this ski sits right in the frontside category - narrow enough for quick transitions between turns, wide enough to give a little float when the snow isn't perfectly groomed. That width also means edge grip stays sharp on firmer snow, which matters most on the icier patches you find late in the day or early in the season. At the core of the ski is Dynastar's Hybrid Core 2.0, which layers poplar wood in three different directions and pairs it with polyurethane along the sides — this construction keeps the ski's weight reasonable while giving it a quiet, damp, supportive feel rather than one that rattles or chatters underfoot.
H-shaped titanal frame built directly into the core underneath the foot, adding real edge grip and torsional stability for carving without the added heft of a full titanal sheet running the length of the ski.
A full sandwich sidewall runs the length of the ski for direct, precise power transfer to the edge
Sizing
Most skiers here should be looking around nose height. The 158cm runs longer and suits someone with a more advanced, aggressive style who wants stability at speed and doesn't mind a ski that takes a touch more effort to pivot. If you're between the two and ski fast, go with the 158. If you're still building confidence at speed, the 150 will be easier to manage.
