The Piece

Some days you just want to wear a hoody. Not a shell, not a puffy - a hoody. 686 built this one for that exact mood, and then made it actually work on snow. Under the hood (pun intended) it's got waterproof, breathable infiDRY 10K fabric doing the job a shell would normally do, with soft fleece lining on the inside so it doesn't feel like a technical garment at all. It looks like your favorite sweatshirt. It does not act like one when the flakes start coming down sideways.

What We Like

The whole point of this piece is that it does double duty. Wear it as your outer layer on a warmer, wetter day and skip the bulky shell entirely. Wear it as a mid-layer under a shell jacket on a colder one, and let the fleece lining do the insulating while your shell handles wind. Either way you're covered - 10,000mm of waterproofing - it'll hold up through steady snowfall and slushy spring conditions without soaking through.

Fit & Sizing

This runs true to a relaxed, everyday hoody fit - roomy through the chest and shoulders, room to layer a tee or a light base layer underneath without feeling tight. If you like your hoodies fitted, size down. If you want room to move and layer, stick with your normal size. We carry this one from XS through XXL, and if you're between sizes we'd rather you try both on in the shop than guess.
