Description

The Sidas 3Feet Eco Winter insol

Your ski boots came with a flat foam insert that does essentially nothing. The Sidas 3Feet Eco Winter insole is the answer to that. It's an anatomically shaped, thermally insulated footbed built specifically for skiing — and it comes in three distinct arch profiles (Low, Medium, High) so it actually matches the foot you have, not a generic average foot.

The ski boot is only as good as what's inside it, and most stock liners give up on the footbed before they even try. The 3Feet® Eco Winter puts real structure under your arch, real insulation between your foot and the cold plastic shell, and it does it with a carbon footprint of roughly 3.86 lbs of CO2 per pair — well below industry norms. For every pair sold, Sidas donates $1 to the Sidas World Foundation for ecosystem restoration. Good gear that does less harm. That's the whole pitch.

What Sets It Apart

The 3Feet® concept is the foundation here. Sidas makes a Low, a Mid, and a High version — each one shaped differently at the arch so the support is tuned to your foot type, not averaged out. A high-arch foot and a flat foot have completely different load patterns in a boot. Using the same insole for both is leaving support on the table.

The construction is straightforward and honest. A fine woven polyester mesh top cover (100% recycled) sits against your foot. Below that is Evamic Insulated EVA foam — 20% recycled — which handles the thermal work. The base is an EVA shell that gives the insole its shape and keeps your foot from collapsing inward or outward. No moving parts, no gimmicks. It fits inside a standard ski boot without excess bulk, and you pull the stock insole out before you put this one in.

Cold feet on the mountain are almost always a circulation problem first, a warmth problem second. Proper arch support keeps your foot from pronating inside the boot, which opens blood flow to your toes. The insulation here handles the rest.

Fit

Pick your arch type first — Low, Medium, or High. If you're not sure, we can help you figure it out at our boot fitting service; we do this every day at all three locations. Then pick your size. The 3Feet® Eco Winter runs in S, M, L, and XL. Sidas sizes insoles in Mondopoint ranges, so use the foot length in the table below to land in the right size. These trim down at the toe if needed, which is common with aftermarket insoles.

These work in any ski boot with a removable stock liner. They're a particularly good fit for skiers who stand in their boots for long days, feel arch fatigue by midday, or run cold in the toes regardless of sock thickness. If you've already got a fully custom molded footbed, you probably don't need these — but for everyone else, this is the upgrade.

Why Willi's

We've been fitting boots in Pittsburgh since 1970, and a proper footbed is one of the first things we talk about when someone's having trouble with comfort or control. Stop in at any of our three locations and we'll check your arch type and help you pick the right version. We'd rather get it right in the store than have you guess online.
