Outdoor Technology Chips XV Universal Wireless Helmet Audio

The Helmet Audio System

The Chips XV drops into the audio pockets built into most snow helmets and connects to your phone over Bluetooth 5.3, with a 30-foot range that holds up even with a jacket and a few layers between you and your pocket.

Key Features

Fifteen hours of play time and a 60-day standby means it survives a full weekend without hunting for a charger, and USB-C fast charging gets you back to full in under 45 minutes. The two-button layout runs volume, track skips, calls, and your voice assistant without pulling off a glove. IPX4 keeps it running through snow and sweat, though it's not built for a full dunking - keep it out of standing water. The tapered fit sits flush over the ears without sealing them off, so you still hear the chairlift, other riders, and traffic.

Why Willis

We've sold helmet audio out of our South Hills and North Hills shops for years and know which units actually survive a Pennsylvania winter. Stop in and we'll check the fit against your own helmet before you buy.
