The Glove

The Boulder Gear Flurry Toddler Mitten is a no-fuss, full-waterproof mitten built for the smallest hands on the mountain. It's got a BG ULTRACORE™ shell rated at 10,000mm waterproofing and 10,000g breathability, so wet snow and slushy conditions don't stand a chance. Eighty grams of 100% polyester insulation keeps fingers warm without bulking the mitten out to the point where little hands can't grip a pole or a parent's hand.

The easy-entry flap is the detail parents notice first. Getting a wiggling two-year-old into a mitten with a standard cuff is its own sport. This one opens wide, the hand goes in, the flap wraps down, and you're done. The extended wrist cuff is fleece-lined inside and seals out snow. A reinforced palm handles the inevitable dragging-gloved-hands-on-everything that toddlers treat as a core activity.

What Sets It Apart

A lot of toddler mittens use a DWR-coated shell and call it waterproof. The Flurry uses Boulder Gear's own BG ULTRACORE™ waterproof/breathable membrane - that's a genuine waterproof insert between the shell and the lining, not just a surface treatment that washes off after a few trips to the laundry. Your kid can sit in the snow, fall down in the snow, and stick both hands into a snowbank, and the insulation stays dry.

The fleece-lined cuff also matters more than it sounds. A cold wrist means a cold kid means a short day. The extended cuff overlaps a jacket sleeve and keeps that gap covered. Fit

The Flurry runs in four sizes: S, M, L, and XL. These are toddler sizes, intended for kids roughly 2 to 5 years old, though hand size varies a lot at that age. The best way to size it is to bring the little one into any of our three locations and try one on. A mitten that's too big will fall off; one that's too small won't close over the cuff properly.
